DHA Valley Islamabad (Defence Housing Authority Valley Islamabad)

DHA Valley Islamabad (DHAVI) is a joint venture (JV) of DHA Islamabad, Habib Rafiq (Pvt. Ltd.) and Bahria Town Islamabad. DHAVI is meant for providing world class luxurious and extravagant living to middle class people of twin cities. This JV has developed a gated community by providing them with commercial areas, shopping places, masajids, educational institutions, hospitals and different facilities of life

Plot Sizes in DHAVI

5 Marla and 8 Marla residential plots were provided to general public in each block. Prices were kept very low and 3 years installment plan was given. This project was, in fact, launched in 2008. About 50000 plots were allotted to the applicants in this project. But, such a big number of allotments proved to be a great blunders on the behalf of DHA (Defence Housing Authority) later on

Location of DHA Valley Islamabad (DHAVI)

Defence Housing Authority initiated the housing project of DHA Valley Islamabad very next to DHA Phase-2 Extension which is situated on Islamabad Expressway.
DHAVI is connected with Islamabad Expressway through a 6 lane DHA Expressway. This Expressway is connected to all phases of DHA Islamabad internally.

DHA Valley Islamabad Master Plan

The master plan of DHAVI consists of the following projects:
 DHA Valley Blocks (DHAVB)
 DHA Valley Overseas Block (DHAVO)
 DHA Homes (DHAH)
 DHA Commercial Avenue (DHACA)

DHA Valley Blocks (DHAVB)

DHA Valley Islamabad launched residential plots (5 Marla and 8 Marla plots) for only 6.50 Lac rupees and 8.80 Lac rupees respectively. A quarterly installment plan was also offered to Pakistani residents

DHA Valley Overseas Blocks (DHAOB)

DHA Valley also offered plots to overseas Pakistanis in DHA Overseas Block like Magnolia and Sunflower etc. Overseas Pakistanis booked plots here and price (including payment plan) was made in Dollars. Overseas blocks also have 5 Marla and 8 Marla residential plots. This project helped DHA bring great amount of dollars into Pakistan

DHA Homes (DHAH)

DHA Homes offered residential houses (5 Marla and 8 Marla) to people on quarterly installments plan. This venture was offered to both local Pakistani residents as well overseas Pakistanis

The price of 5 Marla house was fixed 22.99 Lac rupees. The price of 8 Marla house was fixed at 41.99 Lac rupees then.

DHA Commercial Avenue (DHACA)

DHA Commercial Avenue (DHACA) offered commercial plots (4 Marla and 8 Marla). Initially, its price was fixed 20 Lac rupees and 40 Lac rupees respectively. Quarterly installment payment plan was also offered. The commercial plots, DHA Valley, are situated on the major boulevard of commercial avenue.

Land Issues in DHAVI

DHAVI has been under extensive issues since its beginning because of not availability of plenty of land to serve all the allottees who count to around 50000 plus. That land was also included in this project which was reserved for water supply to Rawalpindi from Daducha DAM. This is still an unresolved issue. Some villagers were unwilling to leave their lands and homes, therefore development work couldn’t move forward
