Free Zone & EPZs, Gwadar:

Construction work is continued on Infrastructure Development for Free Zone & EPZs in Gwadar.

Presently following areas have been allocated as free zone and EPZ’s (Export Processing Zones) in the industrial locations of Gwadar.

Portions of lands have already been acquired/earmarked for this purpose.

  • 2,280 acres of land has been acquired for Gwadar Port free zone
  • 3,000 acres of land have been acquired for GIEDA industrial zone.
  • 1,000 acres of land has been earmarked for EPZA (Export Processing Zone).

Infrastructure is needed to be developed for these three industrial zones.

For example, internal roads, access roads, water, power, gas, some warehouses, fencing, security, custom facilities, office, and other related infrastructure, etc.

Under the CPEC agreement, 32 Million US $ are being spent on this project.
